About Our Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our team in Newcastle. This is a fantastic chance to connect with experts within a large international consultancy, leveraging your skills across technical work, project management, and client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Structural design of buildings, along with inspections, assessments, and reporting.
  • Collaborative working with architects, project managers, building services, and civil engineers on multidisciplinary teams delivering iconic projects.
  • Project management and leading teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Contributing as part of a team on projects from conception through to final design and construction surveillance.
Your Skills and Experience
  • A relevant university degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering.
  • A minimum of 8-12 years' industry experience as a Structural Engineer, with specific depth of experience in building design projects in a consulting environment.
  • Broad range of skills utilised across various types of buildings and materials.
  • Membership of Engineers Australia and working towards CPEng and NER registration is desirable.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Australian Building Codes and Standards.
  • Ability and willingness to mentor junior engineers.
