Lead Education Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated academic to lead our education programs and contribute to the development of our Professional Experience program.
The role will focus on advancing our research and engagement profile within a dynamic and research-active Faculty committed to transformative educational change.
Main Responsibilities:
- Teaching and Curriculum Development: Deliver high-quality teaching and lead curriculum development across undergraduate and postgraduate education programs, ensuring student-centered learning experiences.
- Academic Leadership: Provide leadership in teaching and scholarship, contributing to innovative practices and mentoring early-career academics in effective learning design.
- Research and Engagement: Undertake impactful research aligned with our priorities, including securing funding, publishing in quality journals, and supervising students.
- Service and Governance: Engage in collaborative service and leadership within the Faculty and broader University, including course coordination, governance participation, and professional development initiatives.
- Community Engagement: Contribute to the University's community engagement through partnerships, outreach, and activities that enhance our visibility and impact.
Requirements:
- A PhD or Professional Doctorate in Education or related field, and an appropriate teaching qualification in secondary education.
- Demonstrate experience in initial teacher education, particularly in professional experience, work integrated learning, and leadership in curriculum design and evaluation.
- Proven ability to design, implement, and assess innovative university-level curricula and teaching resources that enhance student learning and engagement.
- A strong research track record, including competitive grant success, HDR supervision, and publications in high-impact journals.
- Active engagement in professional, community, or sector collaborations, including placement partnerships, staff development, and relevant networks.
