Job Title: Public Engagement Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our public engagement efforts for a large-scale infrastructure project in the Snowy Mountains of NSW. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive communications plan, managing stakeholder relationships, and coordinating community outreach initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in managing complex stakeholder relationships and developing effective engagement strategies. They will also possess strong project management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

About the Role:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive communications plan to engage stakeholders and the wider community
  • Manage stakeholder relationships, including government agencies, local communities, and other key stakeholders
  • Coordinate community outreach initiatives, including public events, meetings, and information sessions
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure that engagement activities are aligned with project goals and objectives
  • Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders on project progress and outcomes

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience in public engagement, communications, or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in managing complex stakeholder relationships
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
