Job Title: Public Engagement Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Public Engagement Specialist to play a key role in the success of our major health infrastructure projects. This dynamic position involves working with stakeholders, communities, and media to develop and implement effective communication strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create community engagement opportunities and messages that highlight our projects and reflect audience interests.
  • Analyze post-engagement feedback, including key themes of community interest and learning opportunities for future community engagement plans.
  • Contribute to strategies to manage issues, including identifying responses, engagement channels, and communication plans.
  • Produce high-quality content across web, mobile, and social media services.
  • Assist in planning and participating in community and stakeholder engagement events and activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of community and stakeholder engagement on Consultation Manager.
  • Evaluate adherence to legislative requirements and departmental policies, including OHS and records management.
  • Represent the organization on key stakeholder committees and contribute to relevant committee processes.

Requirements:

  • Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work permit/visa.
  • Demonstrated experience in communications, stakeholder engagement, and project management.
  • Strong writing, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
