As a Head Chef at the Albury Wodonga Military Area, you will have the opportunity to bring your passion for food and quality into a unique environment. You will be working with a dynamic and fun team, receiving full training and support while delivering a premium experience across daily mess meals and events.

  • This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, with minimum weekends and nights.
  • You will be working in a hands-on role as a very organised Head Chef, collaborating with your team to deliver exceptional results.
  • Responsibilities include maintaining all catering and stock controls, OH&S compliance, and HACCP with a strong focus on waste reduction.
  • You will be responsible for forecasting food requirements, ordering and stock control.
  • Drive exceptional food safety and quality with a focus on allergen and dietary requirements.
  • High level knowledge and experience of operational and financial performances are required.

Requirements

  • A Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a head chef in similar venues.
  • Comfortable with people management, training and developing.
  • High level knowledge in HACCP, allergen management and food safety.
  • Proven team leader with high level organisational skills who can work autonomously, with initiative and under pressure.
