Job Description

This is a challenging role that requires a high level of expertise in working with individuals who have been exposed to trauma. You will be part of an integrated team providing specialist services to adults using violence referred to our service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To work collaboratively as part of an integrated practice approach to respond to family violence and children and family vulnerability concerns through the provision of screening and triage, assessment, crisis responses, service planning, targeted interventions;
  • To allocate services and coordinate referrals;
  • To participate in case conferences, meetings and resolve stakeholder issues.
Requirements:
  • A minimum qualification policy will apply to specialist family violence practitioners who enter the workforce from 1 July 2021; if you hold a Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent qualification, or are working towards meeting the new mandatory minimum qualification policy requirement via one of the available employment pathways, your application is welcome.
  • You must hold a current Working with Children Check and be prepared to undergo a National Criminal History Check prior to commencement.
