Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Site Operations Manager to lead and organize a small group of employees in achieving outstanding performance in site management, health, safety, environment, and quality outcomes, as well as financial results.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Supervise day-to-day site operations to ensure smooth execution of tasks and projects.
  • Directly report to the Operations Manager, providing regular updates on site performance and progress.
  • Develop and implement effective staff supervision and rostering strategies to optimize productivity and employee engagement.
  • Coordinate logistics requirements with the Logistics Manager to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Oversee customer service and identify sales opportunities to drive business growth.
  • Maintain high standards of health, safety, environment, and quality at the site, adhering to regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Work collaboratively with the finance team to achieve budgeted financial results and identify areas for cost savings.
  • Maximize recycling opportunities and minimize waste to landfill, contributing to a sustainable and environmentally responsible approach.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience in the waste industry, with a proven track record of managing site operations and achieving outstanding results.
  • Previous supervisory experience is essential, with a strong background in leading teams and implementing process improvements.
  • Experience operating mobile plant and equipment, with a good understanding of maintenance and repair procedures.
  • Possess a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate strong multi-tasking and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Show attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of health, safety, environment, and quality.
  • Be flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to learn and grow within the organization.
  • Exhibit excellent phone and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
