As a Retail Bakery Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a retail outlet.

About this role
  • Manage and lead a team of retail staff to achieve top-tier customer service and presentation.
  • Determine product mix and stock levels to meet customer demand and sales targets.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies, merchandising standards, and promotional activities to increase revenue and drive business growth.

In order to succeed in this role, you will need to have a minimum of 2 years of experience in retail or food outlet management. A Diploma-level qualification or higher in Retail, Business, or Hospitality Management is preferred. You should also possess excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as experience with budgeting, marketing, stock control, and POS systems.

A key aspect of this role is ensuring compliance with food safety standards, WHS regulations, and other relevant laws and policies. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing budgets, and making decisions that impact the success of the business.

To excel in this position, you should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, think critically, and make informed decisions quickly. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, as well as the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of business operations, including finance, marketing, and human resources. They will be able to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders, and possess excellent interpersonal and time management skills.
