This role is responsible for providing advanced clinical leadership and maintaining compliance to AS5369 Standard across Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service.

Job Description

This position entails working with multiple stakeholders, including Central Sterilising Departments, endoscopy services, oral health services, cardiac investigations, maternity services, and other departments that use and reprocess reusable medical devices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical expertise relevant to the specialty of Reprocessing of Reusable Medical Devices
  • Ensure compliance to AS5369 Standard across Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to device processing
Required Skills and Qualifications

Applicants should possess current nursing registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), as well as relevant postgraduate qualifications in Infection Prevention and Control.

  • Certificate III in Sterilisation from an approved training organisation
  • GENCA endoscopy reprocessing training or equivalent
  • Certificate IV Training and Assessment from an approved training organisation
  • Relevant experience working in an Infection Prevention and Control senior nursing role

This role offers a total remuneration package consisting of an hourly rate between $66.85-$72.58 p.h., employer superannuation contribution, and leave loading.
