
Clinical Leadership Specialist

Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Consultant to provide advanced clinical leadership and expertise relevant to the reprocessing of reusable medical devices.
The successful candidate will maintain compliance to AS5369 Standard across the health service, including all Central Sterilising Departments, endoscopy services, oral health services, cardiac investigations, maternity services, and other areas that use and reprocess reusable medical devices.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert clinical guidance on the reprocessing of reusable medical devices.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with AS5369 Standard.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to standard protocols.
- Current nursing registration through AHPRA.
- Certificate III in Sterilisation or equivalent.
- Gastroenterological Nurses College of Australasia (GENCA) endoscopy reprocessing training or willingness to undertake it.
- Certificate IV Training and Assessment or equivalent.
- Extensive experience working in Infection Prevention and Control senior nursing role.
- Relevant postgraduate qualification in Infection Prevention and Control.
- Credentialed status with the Australasian College for Infection Prevention and Control.
- Working knowledge of software packages used in clinical and management environment.
