NSW Families Program Lead

NSW Health is seeking a skilled Child and Family Health Nurse to lead the Sustaining NSW Families Program role in the Northern Sydney Local Health District.

The successful applicant will have extensive experience in Child & Family Health Nursing, with a demonstrated understanding of early intervention strategies and community development initiatives.

The Clinical Lead will be responsible for the operational management and leadership of the Sustaining NSW Families nurse-led home visiting program offered to vulnerable families from pregnancy until their child is two years old.

  • Manage new referrals to the SNF Service
  • Undertake initial client engagement and clinical assessments
  • Provide clinical consultation for team members
  • Lead case reviews
  • Relieve clinical staff during short periods of leave

The ideal candidate will possess a Registered Nurse-Division 1 qualification, relevant management tertiary qualifications, or equivalent work experience. They must also demonstrate a commitment to professional development and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Selection Criteria:
  • Registered Nurse-Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA)
  • Relevant management tertiary qualification or equivalent work experience
  • Extensive post-registration experience in Child & Family Health Nursing
  • Experience working with vulnerable families and a demonstrated understanding of early intervention
  • Ability to manage a team and provide leadership support
