Strategic Business Insights Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a strategic business insights specialist to join our team. As a key member of our finance and operations teams, you will play a critical role in translating financial data into actionable business insights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to deliver timely reports and business intelligence.
  • Develop and lead key performance indicator (KPI) reporting for large operational divisions.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Contribute to month-end close reporting and financial analysis.
  • Analyze and explain cost elements to ensure accurate margin management.
  • Conduct scenario analysis to evaluate commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Deliver insights through market, competitor, and internal performance data analysis.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports, including KPIs.
  • Assist in constructing forecasts, budgets, and five-year plans from gross sales to gross margin.
Requirements
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in a physical product industry, such as retail, FMCG, supply chain, or logistics.
  • Business partnering experience with ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Full profit-and-loss ownership in past roles is desirable.
  • Advanced Excel modeling skills and data manipulation techniques.
  • Experience working with large datasets and statistical software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret complex data.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with ability to present complex ideas simply.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
