We are seeking a skilled and experienced Production Leading Hand to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to lead by example and drive the success of our production team.

Job Description:

The Production Leading Hand will be responsible for leading a team of production staff, overseeing the efficient operation of the production process, and ensuring that all products meet the required quality standards. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading a team of up to 20 production staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
  • Overseeing the production process, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensuring that all products meet the required quality standards, including food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Developing and implementing plans to achieve business objectives, including productivity targets and cost savings initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in a similar production or manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of production staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, suppliers, and customers.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Sound knowledge of WHS and hygiene regulations, including HACCP and Food Safety principles.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with additional qualifications such as a certificate or degree in a related field.
