Senior Software Developer Lead

Job Description

As a Senior Software Developer Lead, you will be responsible for driving the technical strategy and direction of our flagship project. You will lead a team of engineers in delivering full-stack solutions using Next.js or React, focusing on front-end development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead technical strategy and design full-stack solutions with a focus on front-end engineering and back-end development using .NET Core.
  • Act as the technical subject-matter expert for engineers, sharing knowledge via workshops and guilds.
  • Design innovative solutions to solve complicated problems in a cross-functional squad.
  • Ensure our technical approach is sound, fit for purpose, and well architected.
Required Skills and Qualifications

We use a range of tools, languages, and frameworks. Experience or exposure with some will set you up for success:

  • Development Methodologies: MVC with .NET Core and .NET Framework, REST APIs, Microservices.
  • Front End: Experience in Next.js and/or React highly regarded.
  • Back end: Proficient in .NET Core, C# essential.
  • Cloud platforms: AWS services (EC2, ECS, CloudFormation, Lambda, S3, Secrets Manager, KMS, IAM services etc.).
  • DevSecOps: CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, TeamCity, Snyk, SonarQube, Octopus).
  • Network: Firewall, network segmentation, Infrastructure as code, API gateways.
  • IaC: CloudFormation.
  • Containerisation: Docker, Kubernetes - building, deploying and managing containerised applications.
  • Hands-on experience with AI technologies—such as coding agents and automation—is desirable.
