About the Job:

We are seeking a highly experienced and operationally focused leader to head our nursing agency. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with a clinical background who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about delivering high-quality healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct operational leadership across all aspects of the nursing agency, ensuring efficient service delivery and workforce management.
  • Lead and manage daily clinical and administrative operations, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Manage and optimize staffing, workforce planning and talent acquisition to meet client needs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers, hospitals, aged care facilities and key stakeholders.
  • Drive business growth through client engagement, service expansion and operational efficiencies.
  • Ensure high standards of patient care, staff performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor financial performance, budgeting and cost management to achieve sustainability and profitability.
  • Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Implement quality assurance and risk management strategies to maintain a safe and effective service.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) qualification or relevant clinical background.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in the healthcare or nursing agency industry, with senior leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in the Australian healthcare sector.
  • Proven ability to manage operations, workforce planning and service delivery in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial management, budgeting and business growth strategies.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement, innovation, and strategic initiatives.
