Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain proactive communication with project supervision and client representatives to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Manage subcontractors' scope of work across projects to guarantee timely completion and quality standards.
  • Implement quality control documentation for project compliance, ensuring adherence to industry regulations and company standards.
  • Develop construction programs that reflect project status, providing a clear roadmap for project teams.
  • Quantify and procure materials throughout the project duration, optimizing resource allocation and minimizing costs.
  • Generate and submit unforeseen variations to the contract, if needed, to ensure project continuity.
  • Assist project team in resource allocation for site production, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing delays.
  • Ensure accurate interpretation of project design and specifications, guaranteeing compliance with industry standards.
  • Attend client project meetings as necessary, providing updates and addressing concerns.
  • Provide quantity/volume analysis and support tender submissions, ensuring competitive pricing and optimal project outcomes.
About the Role:

This is a permanent full-time position as a Civil Engineer within an established family-owned construction business in the Darwin region. The ideal candidate will have a recognized degree in Civil Engineering and a minimum of 3 years of experience in the civil construction industry. Proficiency in managing engineering and quality-related aspects of construction projects of varying sizes and complexities is essential. Strong competency in using survey equipment and software, including Auto CAD and various 3D software, is also required. Excellent communication skills with a focus on planning, process efficacy, and continuous improvement are necessary for success in this role.
