Job Overview

The Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) is an independent statutory authority established to maintain an impartial and independent electoral system for eligible voters. Our focus is on electoral integrity through quality, agility, and professionalism.

This role sits within the Supply Chain Management Section of the AEC's Delivery and Support Branch. The SCM Section provides national coordination capability to guide and support procurement, contract management, supply, storage, and distribution of election materials.

Key responsibilities include developing operating models, policies, and procedures for efficient ballot and print material management. Stakeholder management and engagement are essential components of this role.


Key Requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams to work to deadlines and achieve targets, with influence across all levels of the organisation.
  • Significant experience in contract development and/or management or relevant project management experience.
  • Commercial acumen and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage effectively and manage relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to prepare complex and technical documents.
  • Research, analytical, and conceptual skills to optimise business outcomes and solve complex problems.

Eligibility
  • Australian citizenship is required.
  • Active involvement in political affairs may compromise neutrality and is not acceptable.
