As a Personal Care Worker, you will play a vital role in co-ordinating personal care for residents in accordance with care plans that meet their individual needs and preferences. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to provide effective clinical and emotional support to residents, recognizing changes in their conditions and escalating observations and concerns.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering high-quality, person-centered care to residents and families, including consideration for cultural, spiritual, and individual needs
- Providing personal care to residents with complex needs, such as palliative care, dementia support, restorative care, and pain management to enhance their wellbeing
- Supporting nursing staff regarding assessment, care planning processes, documentation, and evaluation of care outcomes
- Monitoring the cleanliness, safety, environment, and promptly reporting issues of concern
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Certificate III in Individual Support, or equivalent (Aged Care)
- Medication endorsement
- Experience in residential aged care/home care (desired)
- Experience with dementia care and palliative care support (desired)
- Demonstrated abilities to support residents in a fast-paced environment with exemplary communication skills in a team and one-on-one interactions with all levels of care partners

To work in aged care, you will need:
- A current Working With Children Check card
- Current and ongoing flu vaccinations
- Australian working rights
- Ability to pass a national police clearance and NDIS Clearance
