We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Lead Nurse to join our team at Uniting AgeWell. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and supervision to our Personal Care Workers and supporting our Registered Nurses in their role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, person-centered care to residents and their families, taking into account their cultural, spiritual, and individual needs.
- Provide nursing care to residents with complex needs, including palliative care, dementia support, restorative care, and pain management.
- Support nursing staff with assessment and care planning processes, documentation, and evaluation of care outcomes.
- Analyze risk, implement strategies, and participate in clinical handover with Registered Nurses.
- Promote a harmonious team approach by acting as a role model in coordinating daily routines and adhering to safe practice measures in medication management.
About You:
- You are a registered Medication Endorsed Enrolled Nurse (Div 2) with a minimum of 2 years of experience in residential aged care.
- You have experience with dementia care and palliative care support, and are proficient in decision-making, critical analysis, and problem-solving.
- You possess excellent communication skills and are able to delegate and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- You are available and committed to working in a permanent part-time shift line, including evenings and weekends.
Essential Requirements:
- A current Working With Children Check card.
- Current and ongoing flu vaccinations.
- Australian working rights.
- Ability to pass a national police clearance.
