Construction Site Manager

The Midland Station Cale Street Project is being executed by The Midland Junction Alliance (MJA), which includes the Public Transport Authority of Western Australia, McConnell Dowell, Georgiou Group, BG&E, and Arcadis. As the principal contractor, McConnell Dowell is responsible for this design and construct initiative, which will unfold in multiple intricate phases to ensure effective delivery, including the integration and commissioning of existing freight and passenger rail networks along with the Final Asset Acceptance (FAA) of the completed works.
We are currently seeking a Site Supervisor - Buildings to join our Midland Junction Alliance team and play a vital role in this landmark project.
Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to the site logistics plan, encompassing site amenities, housing, traffic management for entry/exit, cranage, hoisting, security, and waste management. Support overall project management through continuous evaluation of construction techniques and site performance, coordinating trade contractors in alignment with planned activities and schedules. Provide input into the look-ahead program, including procurement timelines, and maintain communication with the project team and subcontractors. Ensure subcontractors fulfill their obligations in accordance with the scope of work and timelines established by the Project Manager. Conduct regular inspections of subcontractors' work to verify compliance with specifications, drawings, and quality assurance checklists. Manage the storage of materials and goods for MJA and subcontractors. Ensure all operations adhere to the WHS Act, AHS Regulations, EPA Act, and all relevant Codes of Practice. Advocate for job safety and environmental consciousness among employees, subcontractors, and all personnel on site, ensuring the implementation of safe and environmentally responsible work practices. Candidate Requirements:
Relevant trade qualification. Demonstrated experience in fit-out finishes within a commercial construction setting. Proficiency in interpreting technical construction drawings and a practical understanding of structures, steel, facades, and building services. Strong communication and negotiation skills to effectively represent the MJA's brand and vision to clients and team members. About McConnell Dowell
