The Role

We are seeking a Site Engineer to work on our international site-based projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing and managing the construction of tailings dams on site;
  • Ensuring quality control and assurance, including soil/laboratory testing;
  • Supporting the successful implementation and delivery of project scope.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree qualification in Engineering with either Geotechnical or Civil specializations;
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience within the mining industry and experience with tailings dam or earth fill dam construction would be advantageous;
  • Minimum of 1 year working on overseas projects on a Fly In / Fly Out (FIFO) roster;
  • A strong understanding of earthworks QA/QC requirements;
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills;
  • A proven track record on site project management/supervision and client liaison and able to demonstrate ability to maintain relationships with stakeholders;
  • A commitment to travel internationally.
