About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Transport Assistant to join our OSHC team at Blacktown City Council. As a Transport Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe transportation of children attending out of hours school care and vacation care excursions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport children safely and efficiently to and from school and other designated locations
  • Ensure the vehicle is in good working condition and maintain a clean and safe environment for children
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Contribute to a team environment that promotes a culture of safety, respect, and inclusivity
Requirements
  • New South Wales (NSW) Light Rigid (LR) licence to drive motor vehicles with a gross vehicle mass (GVM) of between 4,500 to 8,000 kilograms
  • NSW C class driving licence
  • Solid experience driving with a LR licence
  • Evidence of a good driving record (Service NSW)
  • Working with Children Check (WWCC)
Desirable Qualifications
  • First aid certification
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service
  • Ability to work within a team environment
