We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as an experienced SQL Database Developer.

This role requires someone with a strong background in designing, implementing and maintaining SQL databases for applications. You will be responsible for optimizing database performance, ensuring data integrity, security and compliance with relevant regulations.

You will work closely with software developers to integrate database solutions with application features and develop and maintain database documentation. This will include schemas, procedures and data dictionaries.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement efficient database architectures
  • Optimize database performance through query tuning and indexing
  • Ensure data integrity and security through robust backup and recovery plans
  • Collaborate with development teams to deliver high-quality database solutions
  • Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date database documentation

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience working as a SQL Database Developer on large complex systems
  • Strong understanding of database design principles, including normalization and indexing
  • Experience with performance tuning and query optimization techniques
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and version control systems
