Lead Centre Manager

This senior leadership role oversees the strategic management and operational excellence of a large indoor leisure centre, catering to over 1 million visitors annually.

  • The successful candidate will lead various operations including pools, Learn to Swim programs, reception, gymnasium, group exercise classes, older adults, and crèche facilities.
About the Role

We seek an experienced leader with a proven track record of managing large teams and fostering a positive culture within the workplace.

  • A highly organised individual with excellent problem-solving skills, able to engage diverse groups, maintain a professional approach, and adopt a continuous improvement mindset is required.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide visionary leadership and direction to staff, addressing staff issues, rostering, employee development, and performance.
  • Maintain the Centre's physical assets, ensuring effective maintenance and presentation of all plant, wet and dry areas, buildings, car parking, and grounds facilities.
  • Promote a safe and healthy working environment for user groups, patrons, contractors, and employees, taking immediate corrective action when necessary.
  • Increase centre utilisation through internal marketing strategies and initiatives.
  • Support the implementation of patron-focused programs, marketing plans, and promotional activities in line with key performance indicators.
