About The Role

The Site Engineer will be responsible for ensuring compliance of works with technical specifications, applicable legislation, approvals, and standards, and JHG SQE Risk Management process.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with technical specifications, legislation, and standards.
  • Conduct job planning and programming, including short-range and intermediate activities for construction projects.
  • Input information and undertake minor design on site, monitor, and recommend changes to design details to increase ease of construction.
  • Exercise professional judgment in resolving engineering issues.
  • Demonstrate financial management skills.
  • Verify subcontractors' claims and variations.
  • Implement risk controls and actions involved in project delivery.
  • Report on project performance, compliance, defects, and non-conformance.
  • Undertake safety, environment, and quality risk assessments.

Requirements

  • Construction management and technical skills relevant to the program of work and discipline area.
  • Experience in planning, development, and review of complex projects.
  • Implementation of audits and schedule processes.
  • Skills in document and record management, progress, and performance reporting.
  • Risk assessment and monitoring of risk controls in project delivery.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite; Primavera 6 (advantageous), Aconex, etc.
  • Strong communication skills, including facilitating meetings and basic cost control skills.
