Carpentaria is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to delivering innovative and flexible services to empower people with disabilities in the Northern Territory. We focus on person-centred interventions that address underlying functions of behaviour, while safeguarding the rights and dignity of individuals.

As a Disability Support Professional - Behavioural Therapist with Carpentaria, you will develop and implement behaviour support plans using contemporary evidence-based strategies that meet the specific needs of each participant. You will work collaboratively with participants and their support teams to ensure all stakeholders are trained to understand Behaviour Support and implement identified strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and monitor behaviour support plans with proactive strategies
  • Work with participants and their support teams to ensure effective stakeholder training
  • Focus on person-centred interventions addressing underlying functions of behaviour

The ideal candidate will have tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, or Community Services. They should also be currently assessed as suitable by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission as a Core Behaviour Support Practitioner or above. Previous experience providing services to individuals with complex behavioural needs is essential.

We offer an attractive remuneration range of $80K-$120k p.a., plus additional incentives. Relocation assistance up to $3,500 is available for eligible candidates.
