Cost Management Professional Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Cost Control Specialist to join our project team on the Woodman Point Water Treatment Facility Upgrade. As a key member of our Cost Management team, you will play a crucial role in providing timely and accurate cost analysis and reporting to support informed decision-making.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in cost control & analysis in a project delivery environment. They will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and basic knowledge of ERP software (Oracle and/or SAP) and project control software.

  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of cost reports, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Work closely with procurement, contracts & commercial teams to monitor budgets, commitments, expenditures & forecasts.
  • Liaise with planning to integrate cost with physical progress & productivity.
  • Maintain resourcing requirements, PAFs & rates.
  • Assist with accurate cost control information including detailed analysis of budget, commitments, expenditure, VOWD, forecasting & change control.
  • Monitor and track project costs, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to identify cost-saving opportunities.

Tertiary qualifications in project controls, quantity surveying, commercial or a related field are highly desirable. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, are essential.
