The Opportunity

Lynas Rare Earths is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join the team. In this role, you will prepare reliable strategic financial advice, statutory/regulatory/statistical reports, perform data analysis, forecast financial information, and deliver Performance Management reporting while working closely with stakeholders. The role is also accountable for managerial reporting, analysis, forecasting, budgeting and planning activities of operations relating to Finance for Operations.


Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning and budgeting process
  • Ensure the operations plan and budget are integrated and aligned with the Lynas Group business objectives
  • Provide financial guidance, insight and advice on financial impact
  • Regularly review and update the full year forecast
  • Deliver monthly cost performance reports (including variance analysis)
  • Monitor and manage operations cost management activities
  • Manage key stakeholder requirements, provide insightful reports/analysis for informed decision making
  • Identify trends in performance and implement actions to improve performance in consultation with the Operations Team
  • Review and identify opportunities for optimization of the management reporting processes (time, cost and risk) while ensuring accuracy and integrity of information
  • Prepare rolling cash flow forecast and coordinate with Global Finance, Transactional Team and Treasury
  • Perform other duties of a similar or related level

What You Will Bring To The Team
  • Relevant experience across the full range of financial accounting activities—financial systems, internal controls and process development in a commercial environment
  • Team player with analytical, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, such as Pronto, SAP
  • Experience within the Resources sector (desirable)

Qualifications And/or Skills
  • Tertiary qualifications in Accountancy, Finance, or Commerce
  • Professional qualification and/or memberships such as CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
  • Valid and unencumbered Australian Driver's license
