Aboriginal Cancer Program Coordinator Role

Our organization is seeking an experienced Aboriginal Cancer Program Coordinator to lead the development of referral pathways and stakeholder engagement for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people navigating the cancer journey.

This role requires a strong understanding of the health and wellbeing needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, particularly in relation to cancer care. The successful candidate will have experience working in community health, cancer services, or a related health or social service environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing referral pathways and mapping stakeholders to ensure wrap-around support for clients and their families.
  • Liaising with medical and non-medical staff to provide culturally safe support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
  • Leading, supporting, and developing a team to deliver effective cancer care services.
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of the health and wellbeing needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
  • Experience working in community health, cancer services, or a related health or social service environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, support, and develop a team.
  • Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and establishing cross-sector partnerships.
