Cancer Program Coordinator Role

The Cancer Program Coordinator will lead a team dedicated to supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, families, and communities throughout their cancer journey. The role focuses on providing culturally safe, practical assistance to navigate the health and community support systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing and maintaining strong referral pathways for clients and their families.
  • MAPPING key stakeholders to ensure wrap-around support.
  • Working closely with medical and non-medical professionals to provide comprehensive care.
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of the health and wellbeing needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, particularly in relation to cancer care.
  • Experience working in community health, cancer services, or a related health or social service environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, support, and develop a team.
  • Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and establishing cross-sector partnerships.
