About the Role

Hudson Australia is seeking a highly skilled and motivated APS 6 Policy Officer to join our dynamic team in the field of agricultural trade and environmental policy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development of well-researched policy initiatives that align with the department's strategic objectives in international engagement.
  • Conduct thorough data analysis and gather information from various sources to inform business decisions and drive policy outcomes.
  • Coordinate policy input and prepare advice on agricultural trade and environment issues for international meetings and negotiations.
  • Brief and communicate with senior stakeholders, including Ministers, the Executive, and other Commonwealth agencies, on trade and international issues.
  • Engage and collaborate with key stakeholders, including industry, bilateral partners, and other government agencies, to inform policy and achieve outcomes.
  • Coordinate and participate in industry meetings and international engagements to advance the department's agricultural trade and international agenda.
  • Deliver programs and provide administrative and secretariat support to drive policy initiatives and achieve departmental objectives.
