
Disaster Support Specialist

This role involves providing rapid response services, including critical incidents, planned support services, and incident management. Using primary intervention models of Psychological First Aid, stepped care, and referral pathways to support clients during an incident or organisational change.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing one-on-one trauma support and group sessions using Psychological First Aid (PFA) and other trauma-specific interventions
- Assessing workplace issues, identifying suitable intervention programs, and providing solution-focused advice to achieve agreed outcomes
- Collaborating with stakeholders, including clients, colleagues, and external partners
The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping people, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced environment. A tertiary qualification in Behavioural Sciences is desirable, along with registration with the relevant professional body.
As an Incident Response Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting clients during times of crisis. You will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support, while also working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
