Procurement Specialist Position

The Procurement Officer will be responsible for managing timely and cost-effective procurement of rotable and repairable parts.

  • Raising orders for purchase and repair in a timely manner
  • Evaluating quotes against predefined criteria
  • Meeting internal and external procurement needs promptly and efficiently
  • Interrogating multiple systems and manipulating data output effectively
  • Taking ownership of procurement issues and resolving them in a timely manner
  • Developing strong working relationships with management, colleagues, suppliers, and freight companies
  • Ensuring accurate procurement reporting and compliance with company policies
  • Promoting continuous improvement and identifying industry best practices to enhance safety, operational efficiency, and cost control

The ideal candidate will have a Certificate IV in Procurement and Contracting or Purchasing, and familiarity with aircraft inventory systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Procure rotable and repairable parts in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Manage procurement budgets and ensure compliance with company policies
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and freight companies
  • Monitor and improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
Required Skills and Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Certificate IV in Procurement and Contracting or Purchasing (desirable)
  • Familiarity with aircraft inventory systems (desirable)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
