Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to children, working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. About the Role

This is a full-time role that offers flexible working arrangements, including a mix of regular hours and on-call shifts. The successful candidate will be required to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, communicating clearly and providing leadership when needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing medical care to children, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of health conditions
  • Working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and allied health staff
  • Participating in educational programs, including teaching and training junior staff
  • Contribution to quality improvement initiatives, including development and implementation of policies and procedures
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Unconditional registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Paediatrician
  • Demonstrated recent clinical experience in Paediatrics
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership when needed
  • Effective clinical communication skills, including written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to teaching, continuing education, research, and quality improvement
  • Availability to participate in an on-call roster and respond on site within a reasonable time
