The Role:

We seek Part Time Retail Security Officers who demonstrate excellent customer service skills and passion for security with a strong desire to make a difference.

You will provide security services at Macquarie Shopping Centre, supporting tenants, guests and visitors. Services include building key tenant relationships, managing access, responding to client requests, ensuring safety and security, managing emergency situations and demonstrating proactive security awareness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a professional demeanor at all times
  • Respond to emergency situations promptly and efficiently
  • Build strong relationships with tenants, guests and visitors
  • Manage access and ensure safety and security of the centre
  • Respond to client requests in a timely and courteous manner
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve business objectives

Requirements:

  • A current NSW Full Security Licence, including crowd control where applicable
  • An Apply First Aid Certificate
  • A Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate
  • Previous experience in Retail Security is preferred
  • Confident interpersonal and communication skills (written & verbal)
  • The ability to take ownership of service delivery
  • The ability to complete reports using various platforms
  • Excellent presentation, well-groomed and corporate-appropriate
  • High-level problem-solving skills
  • Ability to respond to emergency situations
  • Valid work rights in Australia
  • Ability to work shifts up to 12 hours
  • Availability across 7 days/nights
