**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Mental Health Co-Responder. This role requires expertise in mental health assessment, risk assessment, referral, and application of the Mental Health Act (2016).

In this position, you will work collaboratively with the Queensland Ambulance Service to enhance responses to individuals with mental health issues. You will conduct thorough mental state assessments and risk assessments, refer clients to relevant services, and apply the Mental Health Act (2016) accordingly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate effectively with QAS to respond to mental health issues
  • Conduct detailed mental state assessments and risk assessments
  • Refer clients to relevant services and apply the Mental Health Act (2016)
  • Provide liaison support to clinicians and participate in research activities

Requirements:

  • Hold qualifications and registration in Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Social Work, or Registered Nursing
