About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Clinical Academic Leader to join our prestigious institution as a Professor of Nursing or Midwifery. Job Description

This role will be responsible for promoting excellence in research and leadership within the Monash School of Nursing and Midwifery, mentoring and guiding novice academics and students in their academic and professional journeys, leading ground-breaking research, collaborating on interdisciplinary research to advance healthcare knowledge and practice, providing expert guidance in the development of nursing and midwifery research proposals and grant applications, participating in faculty meetings, committees, and fulfilling assigned administrative duties, engaging in continuous professional development to stay at the forefront of nursing and midwifery education and practice, and contributing to academic and administrative leadership within the Faculty by participating in the development of policy and strategy.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will require a doctoral degree in Nursing or Midwifery (Ph.D., or equivalent), current registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA), a proven track record of excellence in teaching, research, and clinical practice, demonstrated leadership and mentorship skills, active involvement in professional organizations, and a commitment to ongoing professional development. Experience in curriculum development and innovative teaching methodologies would be advantageous.
