Job Overview



This position is available for permanent transfer to the Department of Home Affairs through the Section 26 process. The role is classified at APS6 level and is located within the Immigration and Legal Groups.



Key Responsibilities




  • Manage or lead a team in a dynamic and evolving environment
  • Assess and make decisions using strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Contribute to policy development and advice, managing programs or contracts, and other enabling functions
  • Work collaboratively with others to deliver efficient and accurate workplace outcomes


Requirements



To be eligible, you must be an Australian Citizen and possess the necessary skills and qualifications for the role. You will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (AGSVA) security clearance and an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC).

The Department of Home Affairs is responsible for managing the Department's client-facing services and information services, as well as providing policy advice on national impacts of migration, citizenship, and people mobility.
