About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Program Accountant to join our Transformation Project Office. The successful candidate will have a strong background in financial management and project management, with a proven ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders and maintain independence in analysis and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and validate project budgets and forecasts in collaboration with project leads
  • Provide accurate and insightful variance analysis of project accounts to senior finance managers, program directors, and project leads
  • Build effective relationships with project leads and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes
  • Perform hands-on work required of the role, including financial management and reporting

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in financial management and project management in a complex organization
  • Proven ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders while maintaining independence in analysis and reporting
  • Competent user of relevant systems, including Oracle Financials, Power BI, Microsoft Excel, and other Microsoft products
  • Previous experience in a PMO is desirable
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Australian accounting standards and other relevant legislation

About You

The successful candidate will be a highly skilled and experienced Program Accountant with a strong background in financial management and project management. They will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with key stakeholders.
