Auxiliary support specialist sought to facilitate personalized intervention plans addressing gambling-related harm.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, the selected candidate will deliver holistic services via face-to-face, telephone, and online modalities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals, couples, families, and groups affected by gambling harm.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop, implement, and review tailored treatment plans addressing their unique needs and goals.
  • Provide proactive intake, assessment, and referral services to ensure comprehensive client support.
  • Facilitate group sessions focused on addressing community-wide gambling harm.
  • Respond promptly to referrals and make informed internal and external referrals to optimize client outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

  • Degree in Psychology or Counselling, or relevant related field with diploma in Counselling.
  • Current membership in a professional association aligned with the role's requirements.
  • Proven experience delivering therapeutic counselling services across various settings, including face-to-face, phone, and online modalities.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the complexities surrounding gambling-related harm and its impact on individuals and communities.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans promoting client recovery and well-being.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
