Residential Case Manager Role

The Residential Case Manager will provide case management support for children and young people with high and complex needs. This role is situated within the residential care program and reports to the Coordinator.

This position involves providing therapeutic and trauma-informed case management, supervising caregivers, assessing their capabilities, contributing to overall service development, and adhering to best practices in Occupational Health and Safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized case plans to meet the unique needs of clients;
  • Conduct thorough assessments of caregiver capabilities and provide supervision to ensure optimal care delivery;
  • Participate in ongoing service development, including collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to enhance client outcomes;
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child welfare practice.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

To be successful in this role, applicants must possess a strong foundation in social work or community services, complemented by relevant experience in child welfare practice. Key qualifications include:

  • Sound professional knowledge and theory base relating to trauma, attachment, and integrated trauma-informed practice;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively with others and exercise influence in diverse contexts;
  • Able to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team setting, fostering open communication and promoting positive working relationships.
