About the Opportunity

Arup seeks a Sustainability Expert to contribute to impactful infrastructure projects and shape a better world.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Infrastructure Sustainability (IS) ratings across transport, energy, and water projects.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate sustainability throughout project stages.
  • Author and review technical reports on topics like circular economy, carbon, water, and social impact.
  • Represent Arup in external meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagements.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Engineering, Sustainability, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in infrastructure sustainability consulting, with IS rating scheme knowledge essential.
  • Strong written communication skills and ability to explain complex issues to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Understanding of decarbonisation policy, climate risk assessment, and sustainability legislation in Queensland and Australia.
  • Collaborative mindset with proactive problem-solving and team leadership skills.
