The objective of this role is to pioneer the identification and acquisition of novel business opportunities within the plastics, packaging, and recycling sectors. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to contribute meaningfully by sourcing plant raw materials, executing brokerage transactions, and trading commodities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze market trends and identify new business opportunities within the plastics, packaging, and recycling industries.
  • Nurture long-term relationships with key stakeholders such as manufacturers, suppliers, customers, and logistics partners.
  • Sell products and services to businesses seeking to enhance their sustainability efforts, increasing revenue through contracts and long-term partnerships.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain Operations and Finance teams to develop competitive pricing strategies for suppliers and customers.
  • Lead end-to-end procurement strategy development and execution across direct and/or indirect categories such as raw materials, packaging, logistics, or marketing services.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in procurement, sales, trading, or strategic growth in a B2B environment, preferably commodity trading within the plastics, packaging, or recycling industries.
  • Direct experience in plastic procurement, sales, or trading.
  • A proven network of suppliers and customers within the plastics industry.
  • A proven ability to execute commercial strategies that drive measurable growth.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
