Recycling Team Leader

This is an exciting opportunity to lead our recycling team and make a significant impact on our organisation.

About the Role
  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Recycling Team Leader who will be responsible for overseeing the repair department, including LOLER and PAT testing.
  • The successful candidate will also oversee the warranty and scrapping system, ensuring all aspects of recycling are maintained in an orderly and efficient manner.
  • An important part of this role is managing waste management, including liaising with waste suppliers to ensure our environmental responsibilities are met.
  • The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, experience in a team leader position, preferably in a public, healthcare, or service-based industry.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the repair department, including LOLER and PAT testing.
  • Oversee the warranty and scrapping system.
  • Order spare parts and consumables, and manage levels accordingly.
  • Liaise with waste suppliers to ensure our environmental responsibilities are met.
  • Communicate effectively with Occupational Therapists and Medequip procurement about standard stock and recycled specials.
  • Process recycled specials promptly and efficiently within recycling targets, including any repairs.
Essential Requirements
  • Experience in a team leader position, preferably in a public, healthcare, or service-based industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with LOLER and PAT testing procedures.
