Concentis is looking for an experienced Construction Supervisor with a strong background in carpentry to manage a site-based project delivery team in a remote location. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and timely project completion.
This position offers a FIFO arrangement on a 16:12 roster, initially structured as a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension based on performance. With a robust pipeline of projects anticipated over the next three years, this role presents an opportunity to engage in significant and challenging work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage project timelines, ensuring subcontractors fulfill their obligations while meeting quality and schedule requirements.
- Provide daily oversight, guidance, and leadership to ensure safe execution of subcontractor tasks.
- Act as the primary interface with contracting partners, emphasizing safety, environmental considerations, and quality control.
- Champion safety initiatives to foster a culture of compliance with safety policies and relevant HSE standards.
- Ensure environmental regulations are adhered to by the construction contractor.
Qualifications:
- Trade certification in carpentry or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in the construction sector, particularly in mine site camps or accommodation projects.
- Completion of S1, S2, S3 supervisor courses or equivalent is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of OH&S, mining regulations, and contractor management practices.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to foster collaborative relationships.
- Familiarity with the WH&S Act, Australian Building Code, and relevant training competencies is advantageous.
