Simulation Lab Technician Role Overview

This is a unique opportunity to bring your clinical knowledge into an educational setting—contributing directly to the growth of our nurses of tomorrow.

  • A qualified Enrolled Nurse with current registration and industry currency is required.
  • Experience in simulation lab management, stock management and lab practices would be highly regarded but not essential.
  • The ability to develop, establish and implement procedures and systems to ensure regulatory compliance and efficient management is a key requirement.
  • Highly developed communication skills and the ability to liaise with students, staff and external bodies are necessary for success.
About You:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Nursing experience across multiple disciplinary areas (acute/subacute/geriatric).
  • The ability to work collaboratively with educators to design immersive real-world simulation experiences.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to manage the day-to-day operations of the simulation and skills labs.
  • The capacity to align lab activities with the latest Diploma of Nursing training package and ANMAC standards.
Key Responsibilities:

The Simulation Lab Technician will be responsible for:

  • Managing and maintaining the simulation and skills labs to ensure they meet safety, compliance and current industry standards.
  • Collaborating with educators to design and deliver high-quality simulation experiences.
  • Ensuring purchasing and stock levels for the labs are maintained to a satisfactory level.
