Gold Fields, a leading mining company, is seeking an experienced Senior Health and Safety Manager to join our team at the South Deep Gold Mine in Westonaria, Gauteng.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of health and safety management systems, policies, and procedures across the mine. This includes conducting regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments, as well as developing and implementing plans to mitigate potential hazards and risks.
Key qualifications for this role include a degree or national diploma in health and safety management, relevant experience in trackless mining, and certifications such as COMSOC 1 and 2. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with various stakeholders.
In terms of salary, we are offering a competitive package that reflects the market rate for this position. Based on industry standards, the estimated salary range for this role is between R750,000 and R1,200,000 per annum, depending on experience.
