AHP1/2 Speech Pathologists

This is an opportunity to work with a team of professionals who are dedicated to supporting the strengths, opportunities and additional needs of children and young people across South Australia.

As a speech pathologist in this role, you will have the opportunity to work in schools and preschools across various locations, building and honing your skills in all areas of speech, language and communication to improve outcomes for students.

About the Role:
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify speech, language and communication needs and develop targeted interventions to support student learning and wellbeing.
  • Deliver professional development and coaching to educators on effective strategies for supporting student communication needs.
  • Work collaboratively with site leadership to establish proactive, targeted and intensive practices that promote student speaking, listening, literacy and communication skills.
  • Liaise and collaborate with other professionals, agencies and families to deliver holistic services that meet the needs of students.
  • Contribute to research, service development and ongoing evaluation of services to ensure they are meeting the needs of students and stakeholders.
About You:
  • You will have relevant tertiary qualifications in speech pathology and eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
  • You will have demonstrated experience and/or transferrable skills and knowledge in working with children and young people with a range of needs.
  • You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills and a commitment to culturally responsive practice.
