Job Title: Communication Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled Communication Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Allied Health services, you will be responsible for assessing and treating individuals with communication disorders.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor or Master's degree in Speech Pathology, eligibility for SPA CPSP membership, and experience working in an acute care hospital setting. Knowledge of instrumental assessments such as VFSS and FEES is also preferred.
This role offers the opportunity to work autonomously while being part of a collaborative team. You will be required to screen, assess, and diagnose speech, communication, and swallowing disorders, and implement patient-centred interventions.
To be successful in this role, you will need excellent time management and prioritization skills, strong teamwork and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
- Screen, assess, and diagnose speech, communication, and swallowing disorders
- Implement patient-centred interventions
- Work collaboratively with other Allied Health professionals to deliver high-quality care
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals
Requirements:
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Speech Pathology
