Remote Health Professional Opportunity

We are seeking experienced General Practitioners to provide treatment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in remote NT communities.

Job Details:

This locum-based role offers short-term placements where you will work on-site in remote clinics, delivering culturally safe, high-quality care in collaboration with Aboriginal Health Practitioners, General Practitioners, nurses, and support staff.

  • Fully paid locum placements ranging from 3 to 12 weeks, based in remote NT communities, with travel and accommodation covered by us.
  • Cultural orientation and 24/7 support to help you transition into remote healthcare.
  • Free CPD-accredited eLearning with the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM).

A vital aspect of this role is your ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. We welcome applications from candidates who have a passion for providing culturally sensitive care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Requirements:
  • A fellowship with either Royal Australian College of General Practitioners or Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine.
  • Minimum of 250 hours of relevant full-time clinical experience working as a general practitioner within the past 12 months.
  • Evidence of completion of current and previous triennium requirements and active participation in continuing education recognised by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners Quality Assurance and Continuous Professional Development (RACGP QA & CPD) or Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine-Professional Development Program (ACRRM PDP) or other specialist college, as applicable.
  • Evidence of current professional indemnity insurance as a General Practitioner (Level 1)
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
